When Can I Resume My Exercise?
Walking can begin in one week, lower body exercises like biking, riding in about two weeks. Swimming and upper body exercise in one month.
Are There Any Complications?
Like any other surgery there is small risk of complications, which include infection, bleeding, scarring, numbness, and hardening of the breast or capsular contracture. You will get a detailed description of possible complications at the time of your consult and in the consent form.
What are the Different Type of Implants?
Breast implants come in different sizes, shapes and quality types. Saline implants are made up of silicone shells that is filled with sterile salt water. The other type is silicone gel implants that are made up of silicone gel.
Silicone gel implants have texture similar to that have of natural breasts. However, a risk of leakage is associated with silicone gel implants that does not come with saline implants.
Can I Breast Feed After The Surgery?
Possibility of breast-feeding after the breast augmentation is possible.
However it depends to certain extend upon the type of incision used and placement of the implant whether it is in front or behind the chest muscle. For e.g.: if the incision is under the breast and the implant is placed behind the muscle, then the breast tissue is least disturbed.
