General Practitioner
Introduction of a General and Family Medicine Unit is the latest addition to our portfolio. The main motivation for establishment of a general practice unit came as a result of insights gained through our routine reflection of client needs and preferences. Here is the whole story.
We frequently observed that some of our self-referring clients would insist on having a cosmetic procedure done which they did not need at all, or were some otherwise not qualified for it. Why would they ask for something they did not need? Well, it is simple. The visible symptoms that trouble a patient do not always make her an ideal candidate for the procedure she may be asking for. For one thing, a given symptom is hardly ever traceable to any single cause. Second, in medicine (as in any other field of expertise) there are often more than one solution. Some problems can be corrected more effectively in organic ways.
Part of the story surrounds the general concerns of our existing clients. We found that we could help our clients – actually a community now – help themselves by providing a free of charge guidance and counseling service on lifestyle and wellness issues that are increasingly affecting the society as a whole.
Another concern of our clients that also served as a source of motivation resulting in our decision to start general medicine practice relates to their families. We observed that our current clients frequently looked up to us for guidance and advice on health issues facing other members of their family. Call it stereotyped behaviour on their part or strong association which made them connect with us, we sensed their need, we felt obliged, and finally, we responded. The result is a slight modification – General and “Family” Medicine Unit
In order to make this venture sustainable, we also look forward to providing paid service to corporate clients on per visit basis. That said, support groups that are running on non-profit basis shall be entitled for free consultancy and their membership, generous treatment discounts.
To sum up, our General & Family Medicine Unit has been established with four aims in view:
- to be the first point of meeting, evaluation and referral for patients who are not fully aware or completely sure as to whom they should see for their problems,
- to extend help to patients who do not qualify for a procedure by offering alternative means applying organic ways if possible
- to provide expert guidance, advice and counseling on wellness and lifestyle issues, free of cost to our current clients, and
- to provide general medical care to individuals, families and corporate clients
Family Medicine
Receiving comprehensive healthcare on continual basis from one trusted healthcare provider, rather than having your illness episodes addressed in bits and pieces from different primary care sources, is increasingly becoming a dominant trend in today’s society. One noticeable aspect of this trend is the rise of public interest and their preference in having their very own family doctors.

Hair Loss Treatment
Hair loss can be normal as well as abnormal. Every one of us is shedding 40 to 100 hair each day as a result of the normal process called hair life cycle. The hair that is shed in this way is not lost for ever; it has just gone into the dormant (or telogen) phase of its life cycle from where it will take a few months to come out and grow again. You may also see more hair shed at certain times of the year, which is again quite normal.
Permanent hair loss or baldness is said to occur…
Acute Infectious Diseases
An effective strategy to fight infectious diseases is to adapt preventative measures. The key to keep yourself safe from infectious diseases is to keep your immune system strong and efficient. This can be achieved by making small improvement in your life style such as in improvements related to food, movement and rest.
Additionally, following the rules of general hygiene, regimens of recommended vaccines and routine visits to your physician’s office are also necessary.
Management of Chronic Diseases
Chronic diseases are those that last for months or years. Typically these include asthma, diabetes, heart failure, cancer, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), depression, osteoporosis, and stroke. Here are the major chronic disease risk factors and their close causes:
Although majority of chronic diseases can be prevented, yet millions of people around the world are affected by them due largely to lack of education.
Patients with General Illnesses
According to the current view of health or wellness, a healthy person is not just someone who is free from physical illness, but also the one who is mentally, socially, intellectually (i.e. rationally or emotionally), spiritually and environmentally healthy. A person who is not apparently suffering from a physical illness can be at a high risk to be a victim of a chronic disease if he or she is not otherwise functionally sound.
Research has shown that many malignant…
Mesotherapy
Millions of patients around the world receive Mesotherapy every year for various reasons. These include cellulite elimination, body sculpting and facial and neck skin rejuvenation. Many patients consider receiving Mesotherapy as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. This widely accepted aesthetic procedure is also effective as a treatment of hair loss
Mesotherapy is essentially a medical procedure through which we attempt to stimulate the…
Nutritional Counselling
Health surveys reveal that many people who may be physically sound otherwise are actually at high risk to catch one or another disease just because of an unhealthful lifestyle. Two main components of lifestyle are food habits and movement patterns. Nutritional counseling is concerned with assessment and advice on various health needs in regard to diet and exercise.
But people having poor nutritional and eating patterns are not the only group nutritional counseling can help.
Preventive Health Care
Preventive Healthcare Program is the flagship of our General Practice Unit. Under this program we offer individuals, families and corporate entities a comprehensive annual health screening service at very affordable cost. Flexible packages are available that cater for individual needs, preferences and unique circumstances of our clients.
Each package that we offer under this program necessarily consists of two components.
