Browlift Surgery in Dubai

As a part of the natural ageing process the skin of your forehead may start to sag, forming a droopy appearance that could be accompanied with frown or worry lines. Some people may have inherited drooping or sagging eyebrows, making them look aged, tired and exhausted. Everyone wishes to look young, alert and assertive. The upper part of your face plays a very important role in depicting emotions. And you don’t want it to unintentionally depict emotions that you aren’t feeling. Browlift surgery in Dubai may be the right choice for you if you are experiencing the above stated symptoms.
Browlift surgery, also known as browplasty or forehead lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that eliminates worry lines on the forehead and also elevates drooping eyebrows that can obstruct vision. The surgeon aims to achieve this by removing excess fat, muscle or skin in the forehead and eyebrow area. Browlift surgery in Dubai is one of the most sought after, safe and non-invasive treatments.

There are two main types of brow lifts:

  1. Classical lift
  2. Endoscopic lift

Classical Lift:

The first thing in this procedure is that the doctor will tie up your hair. Then he or she will trim the area where the incision is to be made. It usually involves a continuous incision starting from the level of the ears and going up till the hairline. Depending on the location of the hairline the surgeon will move the incision line so that the scar will not be visible. For example, in the case of a balding patient, the incision can be made mid-scalp so that the scar can be hidden under the remaining hair. In some cases the incision is near the scalp, and in others it may be along the hairline.

Patients recovering from classical brow lift surgery are expected to experience the following common side effects:

  • Numbness at the area of incision
  • Itching at the  area of incision
  • Discomfort at the area of incision

Discomfort at the place of incision can take up to six months to fully recover. The bandages from the procedure can be removed after a couple of days after the surgery. Most classical brow lift patients are able to resume back to work after 7-10 days following the procedure.

 Endoscopic Lift:

In this procedure, instead of making a continuous incision, the surgeon will make a few shorter incisions on the scalp. They will insert a scope (small camera on the end of a thin tube) into one of the incisions in order to view the tissues and muscles on a screen. Meanwhile they will use a different device inserted in another incision to make the required alterations.
During this procedure tiny anchors are used to secure the offending tissue once it has been appropriately altered. The anchors are small, but potent. They’ll keep the tissue under control for several years. Because the incisions are smaller,  the procedure is less invasive. The patient will experience minimal scarring and a short recovery time period.

Since this procedure requires smaller incisions the recovery time from endoscoping brow lift is shorter than  the recovery time from a classical brow lift. The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis. There are 3 or 4 tiny incisions that heal very fast leaving almost little or no scarring or numbness after the procedure.
The bandages from the procedure are removed within two days, and the stitches will be removed after one week following the procedure. The surgeon will remove the temporary screws or sutures two weeks after the procedure.
Within 7 to 10 days patients can resume their normal life. However completely recovery will take at least 3 weeks.
Browlift surgery in Dubai is becoming increasingly popular because it is the least harmful corrective procedure of slowing down the ageing process, and looking rejuvenated, young and gorgeous.

A brow lift – sometimes also known as forehead lift – is the cosmetic surgery that is performed to remove aging signs on the forehead and lift the brows. The surgery reduces or eliminates the furrows in the eyebrows and also tightens the forehead skin. It also corrects the sagging eyebrows. The procedure can be performed using various techniques.
Both men and women are the candidates for browlift surgery. Mostly, it is performed on those who are over 40. Most of the patients who are the candidates of eyelid surgery or facelift surgery can also benefit from browlift surgery. You should discuss about your specific concerns with surgeon each patient’s circumstances differ. Usually most of the patients become ready to do light exercises within 2 to 3 weeks after surgery.
In most of the cases, there is no need to remove stitches as dissolvable sutures are used in the procedure. These sutures will dissolve within 1 to 2 weeks. However, if non-dissolvable stitches are used then they will be removed 5 to 10 days after surgery.
